MCbets' Plus Money NHL Power Play Points Picks - 2/17

So, for those of you new to Hockey wagering these are fun usually plus money spots. We're looking for players to record a point on the Power Play. Teams usually get a handful of chances per game and obviously these will only hit when the selected player records a point while on the man advantage. A point comes by either a goal OR assist but then odds jump because it MUST be on the power play. It's an electric factory. Let's plug in.

Starting off I'm looking at the Ottawa Senators to score on the PP tonight. Chicago owns the 23rd worst Penalty Kill at 76% and is shorthanded roughly 10 mins per game. That's 5 penalties called on them per game on average. OTT owns the second BEST Power Play scoring on over 25% of their chances. This is a beautiful overlay for possibly two goals on the man advantage. I'm going with Brady Tkachuk and Claude Giroux. Tkachuk is sitting at +108 which is a nice return but Giroux is going to give us a +250 payout. Over his L10, Giroux has recorded a PPP in 6 of 10. there will be ample opportunities for the Senators tonight and these two give us great value.

Next up I'm zero-ing in on the LA Kings. They boast the 4th best PP in the league going up against the Ducks who are in the basement in the PK department. Couple that with the Ducks giving up 40 (!!) shots per game and this has the makings of a rout. (Did I mention the over? or Kings TT?) The Ducks find themselves shorthanded twelve minutes per game so the Kings PP unit will get some good time to cook tonight. Let's lock in Drew Doughty and Adrian Kempe on the Kings at +170 and +225 respectively. Doughty leads the Kings in PP Assists and Kempe in PPG so here's to them combining on the same goal. One spot that also caught my eye was Kings RW Arthur Kaliyev at +280. He's only played in 36 games this season but has registered 10 PPP. Worth a sprinkle in my opinion due to the projected volume the Kings PP units will have tonight. He's averaged 2 and a half minutes on the PP over his L5.
