I took a day off from the NHL last night but this slate of games is so beautiful, how could I resist getting involved tonight. I have a point parlay for everyone consisting of a player making his 4th article appearance (has hit 3/3 for us so far) and a Sabres player who has been on fire lately.

Detroit Red Wings (24-24-6) @ Tampa Bay Lightning (35-12-6)

If you followed my NHL content for the past 4-5 weeks now, you probably already know what is coming. Tampa is at home in a great matchup so Brayden Point is making another article appearance. He has not failed us yet, getting at least 1 point in the prior 3 articles and looking to make it 4.

Detroit is 29th in the league in goals allowed and have allowed 3.5 goals per game over their last 10 on the road. Alex Nedelijkovic is expected to be in the crease tonight for the Red Wings. He has allowed 4.2 goals per game over his last 5 starts. He also faced the Lightning in his first game of the season and allowed 7 goals in an overtime thriller, so the opportunity is there for Brayden to keep rolling.

Minnesota Wild (32-17-3) @ Buffalo Sabres (17-30-8)

Tage Thompson will be the second leg to the parlay. Tage has been feeling it lately. He has 9 goals in his last 10 games including a hat trick last home game vs an incredible Avalanche team.  After a 5 game road trip, the Sabres will be back in Buffalo tonight. Tage has recorded at least 1 point in 8 of his last 9 home games totaling 14 points in that span. He also has recorded a point in 15 of his last 20 games overall. His matchup tonight is the Wild who have been surrendering goals for fun lately. They just allowed a terrible Flyers team 4 goals last night. They have allowed 4.4 goals over their last 10 games.

To be fair, that does not tell the entire story. Kaapo Kahkonen is expected to be in net for the Wild. He has been the stronger of the 2 Minnesota goalies this season, but even he has been letting the puck find the back of the net often lately surrendering 3+ goals in 7 of his last 10 starts. Tage gets a great opportunity to continue his dominance at home.
