Nashville Predators (39-24-4) @ Buffalo Sabres (24-33-11)

I’m sad to report Roman Josi has comfortably settled into a 1.5 points line. It’s well deserved, but I will miss the days of the 0.5 line. Thankfully, he has some terrific teammates. Both Matt Duchene and Filip Forsberg are great options. Personally I am gonna ride with Forsberg for tonight. Filip has 66 points in 54 games including 33 points in 26 road games. He has recorded a point in 77% of his road games and draws a great matchup tonight vs the Sabres. The Sabres are 25th in goals allowed this season. To their credit, their goalie Craig Anderson is pretty solid at home but I don’t think he can slow down this Nashville offense who has scored 4.1 goals per game over their last 10 on the road.

Chicago Blackhawks (24-34-10) @ Tampa Bay Lightning (42-18-5)

We get a similar situation here. Several of Tampa’s best have graduated to the dreaded 1.5 point lines in these home games. We had fun betting Brayden Point earlier in the season but it’s time to move on. Victor Hedman is our new guy. The top defenseman on the Lightning plays an incredible 25.3 minutes a game, and is a big part of their power play. He’s enjoyed a nice season with 64 points in 66 games. He is especially strong at home where he has recorded a point in 77% of his games. It’s a great matchup against Chicago who is 26th in goals allowed. Chi is expected to throw poor Kevin Lankinen out to the crease tonight with his 3.84 goals allowed per road game average. Should be a lot of red lights lit up for the Lightning tonight, and I’m confident Hedman will have his hand in the action.
