AustinsProps cashed his last NBA article picks on Wednesday and now he's got a pick for tonight's Pacers @ Rockets game!

The Pacers come into Houston tonight with an exciting matchup against a fast paced Rockets team. Indiana has started the season off fairly solid as they are 7-6 on the year playing very competitive basketball. They seem to have a core that is playing well together led by star point guard Tyrese Haliburton. The Rockets on the other hand have greatly struggled as they are 3-12 on the season looking to be one of the worst teams in the NBA once again.

The Rockets could also be shorthanded as one of their best players Kevin Porter Jr is questionable. If Porter Jr is unable to go I think this line expands another 2-3 points. Even if he does play this Rockets team has struggled so bad that the Pacers still likely will cover. The Pacers this season are 9-4 against the spread while the Rockets are sitting currently 6-7 against the spread.

Looking deeper into this game it’s clear the Pacers know how to keep games competitive along with being a much more efficient scoring team. The Rockets are a far-less efficient team and will struggle matching the pace the Pacers set along with likely struggle keeping up the scoring needed to cover this spread. Indiana also just simply has more talent which will benefit them in a matchup like this one.
