@AustinsProps' NBA Thursday Play of the Day - 1/12

Austin's Play of the Day is here for Thursday's NBA action takes us to the West Coast as the Mavs take on the Lakers in LA.

We get a fresh 6 game NBA slate tonight ahead of us. Most these games have key players missing which is the main reason I’m choosing to target this one as it appears most of the usual starters will be able to suit up. For this play it’s pretty simple and I’m laying -2.5 on the Dallas Mavs tonight.

Dallas has been extremely bad against the spread this season and have been struggling lately. Lot’s of that appears to be when they’re 8-10 point favorites however, and in this spot were only asking for 3. Dallas beat up on the Lakers at home on Christmas day and I think we see them do that again. They’re coming off two straight losses and this is a perfect bounce back spot to go get a win against a very mediocre Lakers roster. Dallas likely will prep to try and contain LeBron tonight and make someone else try and beat them, and I just don’t think the Lakers have a true second scorer to do that tonight. Luka will look to have a monster game tonight and get his team back on track.

Give me Dallas -2.5 tonight.
