Morocco is one point ahead of Belgium and will be ready to try and pick up three points. Canada is out of the tournament, but played some great football. I believe Canada will still run out their best team. The price on Alphonso Davies SOT is still very much in play. Davies has a SOT in both previous World Cup matches and will get plenty of rest before rejoining Bayern. Jonathan David has yet to score in this tournament despite having some quality looks. I like him to finish if he sees the opportunity today. I hope Canada comes out to fight here. I believe that they can snatch three points away from Morocco and play the spoiler here.

The twitter-verse is exploding with Belgium drama.This is formerly the #1 ranked team in the world, and they are flirting with the possibility of not advancing from groups.

Croatia flexed their goal scoring abilities against Canada. My biggest knock on this team was I didn’t know where goals would come from. Croatia have monsters holding down the midfield and that’s where I see a majority of the play happening in this game. This group is very tight. Croatia is on top with four points and a goal differential.

Both teams will be looking to pick up all three points, but I don’t particularly see a goals explosion. I think this game stays under 2.5 and the focus will be on possession. I can see this one going either way, but I believe the most likely outcome is a draw. I like the Kramaric and Perisic connection I saw vs Canada. Kramaric scored twice off a feed from Perisic. If you like Croatia to score tomorrow, I’d look at that goal/assist combo.

Spain is fresh off a 1-1 draw with Germany. Spain scored first, but had some late defensive lapses allowing Germany to level the game. Germany had an early goal by Rudiger ruled out by offsides. I have been saying all World Cup that I think this Spain squad is overrated.

They will have a tough time with this Japan squad who I liked to advance out of groups. Japan will need to bounce back after a really bad loss to Costa Rica. In that loss Japan held more possession, put up more shots, and had more shots on target. They got broken by a quick counter, and were never able to put a ball in the back of the net.

This group is tight and Germany is still very much in the conversation for advancement. So is Costa Rica with three points (although I think Germany handles them easily). I think Japan keeps this close if not drawing Spain outright.
