Our boy Shai is OUT of the lineup for the Oklahoma City Thunder leaving a ton of value for other players to pick up the slack vs a fast paced team in the Spurs (the o/u is very high at 230). Obviously Shai takes a ton of shots and is very ball dominant so here are other players that tend to play really well without him...
- Josh Giddey o15.5 rebs/assists (-110 MGM)
- (.25U) Josh Giddey Triple Double (+800 PB)
I'm going to start this one off by saying that Josh Giddey had THREE triple doubles in a row in his last 4 games without Shai and the one game he missed he only played 20 minutes because of injury. He's hit L2/3 (& 3/5) with Shai in the lineup averaging 16.6 RA WITH SHAI. Now without Shai he hit in L4/5 without Shai last season averaging 18.6 RAPGΒ @ home. The Spurs are allowing the 3rd most A to PG and Giddey has been a rebounding machine with and without Shai all year.Β
- (.75U) Aleksej Pokusevski o2.5 assists (-115 BET365)
- (.25U) Pokusevski 5+ assists (+475 BET365)
This is a big play without Shai because Aleksej has not been hitting this number this season (reason why it's smaller), but tonight is the first night without Shai since last season. Let's look at his numbers in his last few games without Shai: 12, 8, 11, 5, 4, 5 & 4 assists hitting in all 7 games. The value is tremendous if the ball is in his hands just like it was last year without Shai. I'd even consider a small sprinkle beyond 5 rebounds because the value gets insane. The Spurs also give the 3rd most assists to PF as well.
