The stars are aligning for the Bucks to finally beat the Bulls this season under the spotlight on TNT as one of the last games before the All Star Break. There's a few angles I like about this play. First, Giannis is on decent rest playing just 1 game in the last 5 days and has an extended rest ahead of him only having to worry about the All Star game this next week. He should be all systems go. Second, the Bucks will be without Bobby Portis, Khris Middleton and Pat Connaughton this evening leaving the need for Production from other guys. They usually start Jevon Carter in these situations where Giannis has averaged 50 points and assists per game in his last four games with him as a starter.
Third, the Bulls have no one to stop Giannis especially without DeMar DeRozan. The Bulls are likely to start Coby White since they will also be without Alex Caruso meaning less size on the floor to defend the big Greek Freak. Jrue has been held at bay anyway vs the Bulls averaging just 12.5 points vs them in his last two, but averaging 12 assists per game. Altogether Giannis has covered this line in his last 5 of 6 games (only miss, he had 32 PA in only 23 minutes) averaging 44 points/assists and these numbers should only uptick under the spotlight.
Giannis has had 45 and 52 points and assists in his last two TNT games and he may drop 41 alone in primetime vs the Bulls this evening.
