King James is starting the 2022 season vs the same opponent as last year, the Golden State Warriors, who he has played well against. In the season opener last season Bron had 34 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists covering this line by 9. In his last game vs the Warriors, Bron dropped a season high 56 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Altogether, he's averaging 52.75 PRA in his last four gamesΒ vs the Warriors covering comfortably in all of them.
Another interesting angle is the fact that Westbrook will play the 6th man role this game leaving the volume to Bron and ADΒ since Pat Bev, Lonnie Walker and Austin Reaves aren't pure scorers. The only game that Russ didn't play (similar scenario) LeBron dropped 44 PRA with 30 points. Bron has also been covering in his last 5 of 6 games with AD on the court with following PRA: 50, 47, 49, 40, 52 and 47. This won't be a heavy factor, but the fact that the Warriors will each be on a 30 min restriction can only help. LeBron's age will eventually catch up to him, but (in terms of stats) we haven't seen it much yet and we certainly shouldn't see it in game one of the season.
Give me the KING to carry the majority of the workload and start the season with a bang vs a (mostly in shape) Warriors team that he has been cooking.
