The Cavs are officially leaning in. Trading for Caris LeVert was a big move that put the Cavs in a real position to win. I think regardless of whether he plays in this game, the trade was a sign of faith from the organization that they think it can compete for a title. That has a serious impact on the players and this young core is looking better and better. And thereβs no better chance to prove them right than a soft matchup with the Spurs, at home, tonight. If LeVert does play in this one, I only like it more. He should fit in well from day 1.
Lock it in.
On the other side of the trade deadline world, the Kings have given Tyrese Halliburton over to the Pacers. The primary piece in return is Domantis Sabonis who is a great player in his own right, but has a difficult time staying on the court. In my opinion, the Pacers are getting the much better side of this. Halliburton has the potential to be a star and heβs shown flashes of greatness that could look even better on a team where he isnβt stuck behind another guard. The Kings are losing a very valuable piece and theyβll suffer on the court for it, definitely in the short term.
I think the Twolves will surprise with a nice game on the road here and cover.
