He’s HEATing up!
Coming off of his best offensive performance of the season (34 points 5-8 on threes), Tyler Herro looks to continue his hot shooting when the Miami Heat host the Golden State Warriors tonight. Although last seasons 6th man of the years role has changed, now a starter, one thing remained the same, he always has the green light. Herro is your prototypical heat check volume shooter, and when he is felling it that is exemplified from downtown. This is what makes him such an intriguing play. If you catch him during one of his hot streaks, he can be one of the leagues best scorers, especially from three. He enters tonight’s contests averaging 6.9 threes attempted per game, with games of eight or more attempts in three of the last four. “Boy Wonder” has cleared the o2.5 line in two of his last three games and appears to have regained his grove from long range after a couple subpar performances.
This game also features a personal narrative to it, as you can be sure Herro will look to avenge last weeks viral video, when Stephen Curry broke his ankles on a crossover and hit a step back three in his face. In addition to an embarrassing moment, this was also by far Herro’s worst game of season (7 points 1-5 on threes).
I look for the Herro Heatwave to continue from beyond the arc, as he aims for some revenge against the defending NBA champs.
