After averaging 29.8 minutes during the regular season, the Griz have unleashed Desmond Bane. He’s played 35 or more min in 3 straight and played 40+ in 2 of those games. Bane has not disappointed in the national spotlight. He’s averaging 23.6 points per game this series with 4.4 made threes per game. Of course, his numbers got even better when he played at Minnesota as they have all year on the road. He averaged 30 points and 7.5 threes in the two road games this series and they just so happen to play on the road again tonight!
If you’ve followed me for a while, you can skip this paragraph. You know what’s coming..if not, I’ll break down Desmond’s home and road splits:
- Home: 16.4 points 44/39.1/88.1
- Away: 20.1 points 48.1/47.6/92
I’m not sure what it is about road games, but I caught onto this trend early in the season and have been riding the wave all along. Nothing has changed in the playoffs, in fact it has gotten even more ridiculous. Desmond has 7 made threes combined in 3 home games, and has made 7 and 8 threes in the two road games. I see no reason not to keeping riding the Road Bane wave tonight in a potential close out game for the Griz!
