Redemption year for the Suns after losing to the Bucks in the finals in 2021. They have been terrific this season as they collected the best record in the NBA at 64-18. Theyβve battled injuries throughout the season but have gotten healthy at the perfect time as Shamet is the only rotational player in question tonight. That bodes well for Chris Paul. He will have talent in every direction he looks, every minute heβs on the court. I love him to rack up assists tonight.
Paul led the league in assists for the 5th time in his career at 10.8 a game, the third highest average of his career. Over the last 10 games, he has averaged 11.8 assists and hit in 6 of 10. He gets even better at home where he has hit this in 9 of the last 10 with an average of 14.1 a game. Thereβs some great history against New Orleans as well, as he had 18 and 15 assists in the two times these teams faced this season.
The Pelicans are 15th in the league in assists allowed, but have struggled more towards the end of the year. Most of their struggles have been against point guards where they have allowed the 7th most assists over the last 15 days.
Paul is set up well to hit open teammates frequently tonight and cash this over for us!
