We're on DraftKings for "FIRST FIELD GOAL TYPE EXACT" and we're taking three teams for a two-point basket. Now we'll dive into why:
The Blazers win the tip 55% of their games so right off the bat we're looking at possession, which is crucial. On the other side the Pistons own the first possession of their games 44% of the time and score the first basket just 39%. Great overlay there and throw in the fact that the pistons most allowed first field goal? "Other" which falls into our 2-point shot play.
Going up against the Heat who allow the first basket against a whopping 62% of their games. Obviously this translates into only a 38% make. The Hawks are just about 50/50 in makes and against in their first baskets while only securing the tip in 44%. Great matchup for them as we just pointed out that the Heat aren't hitting on their first possession. The Hawks most made basket type? Other at 23%. The Heat most surrendered first basket type? Other, 20% Match made in heaven.
Philadelphia 76ers 2 Points (+115 DK)
This one is great. Pacers 69% First basket against and only secure the first possession 39% of games. The 76ers have been beasts in this department owning the tip in 48% of games and recording the first basket in 67% of them. Phillys most scored opening hoop has been under the "other" category and Joel Embiid accounts for over half of them. Here's to an embiid 2-pointer to start things off.
