This should be a fun game between two fast paced teams that are allergic to defense. The Rockets don’t have much to play for at this point, but should be looking to give their young guys good experience. Jalen Green has steadily improved throughout the season, and with 7 games to go will be looking to finish his rookie season strong.
Jalen has had his highs and lows so far as he has adjusted his game from the g league to the pros. If you look at the month by month numbers you can just see the growth of his game:

- December: 20 points 48.8/48/88.9 (3 games)
- January: 13.1 points 32.8/23.7/85

Jalen began to hit this stride a bit late 2021 but then missed 14 games to a hamstring injury. It took him a while to get back into form, but as you can see everything has began to come together here in March. He has hit the over in 10 of 15 games this month including 6 out of 9 at home. He’s been stronger at home most of the season too, averaging 2.2 more points per game in Houston.
His matchup does not get much better than it does tonight. As I mentioned the Spurs are fast and don’t care about defense. San Antonio is 4th in pace and 20th in defensive efficiency. They are also 24th in points allowed on the season. More specific to SG, they allow the 4th most points to the position for the season and have been even more loose over the last 30 days, where they have allowed the second most points. This is a great opportunity for Jalen to continue his strong finish to his rookie campaign.
