Ryan is now an outrageous 8-2 on hockey parlays! https://t.co/lcR9NHOKEF
The first leg to the parlay will feature Cale Makar, the young stud defenseman on the Avs. Arguably the best offensive defenseman in the league, he has recorded a point in an incredible 21 of 25 away games, including 10 straight. Overall he has at least a point in 12 straight games with 19 points in that span. I donβt love -250 odds, but he is absolutely worth it. He is the only player playing today with a point in 10+ straight games.
Tonight the Avs face the Devils. The Devils are 26th in the NHL in goals allowed this season, and have been allowing goals for fun lately. They have allowed 4.2 goals per game over their last 5 in New Jersey. Jon Gillies is expected in net tonight for the Devils, so this should be a fun game for Colorado. Jon allows 3.7 goals per game and that number jumps to 4.06 at home. We could not ask for a better spot for Cale to keep his streak alive.Β
I am far from opposed to continuing to use guys over and over in these parlays as long as the spot is good enough, but it is time for a new face today. Dylan Larkin of the Red Wings will be the second and final leg to the parlay today.
After several down years, the Wings are finally beginning to make some noise and Larkin has been a big part of their growth. He leads the Wings in points with 56 in 51 games. He has been especially strong at home where he has 36 points in 29 games, that includes a 10 game streak of at least 1 point at home. The Coyotes remain one of the league's best teams to target. They are 28th in goals allowed, and have allowed 4.2 goals per game over their last 10 on the road, which is worst in the league in that span. A terrific spot for Detroitβs first line Center to continue his home streak.Β
